Rev. Emily Conger
Rev. Emily Conger (she/they) is a queer, white, middle class, middle-aged, nonbinary woman. She is a Unitarian Universalist Minister and co-founder of Nourish: UU Dinner Church Consultants, where they bring more embodied ministry to Unitarian Universalists. Rev. Emily is a nearly lifelong UU called to innovate the ways Unitarian Universalists find meaning and purpose in community. Her style of worship is very engaging and participatory.
Rev. Emily is also a founding director of Tandem Cooperative which builds a village of care by providing childcare, co-working, and community building.
She has served for many years as a leader in Unitarian Universalist youth and young adult communities in New Jersey and Colorado. She served as the minister of the Longmont UU Presence, a Colorado-based emerging ministry invested in food justice through dinner church and garden church.
She is committed to working toward intersectional justice, especially racial justice, queer justice, and reproductive justice.
Rev. Emily lives in Salem, MA with her partner Ted and two children Lily/B Abundance (6) and Ruben Courage (3). They enjoy biking, going for walks, playing cooperative board games, and eating homemade bread together.
On Star Island, Emily and her family love making connections through games, dancing, crafts, and heart-to-heart conversations on the porch, going kayaking, and watching the sunset.
